Record label e-commerce site reimagined with a headless WordPress install, WooCommerce, and React front-end.
https://www.vizualrecords.com/ ↗The Vizual Records site needed a redesign as it was using an outdated e-commerce plugin (Cart66) and adding new releases was quite labor intensive. As performance was key, we thought this was a perfect case for a headless WordPress with a React front end.
With this setup, the site owners can enter their WooCommerce product data in the normal WordPress admin, while their front end is built with React thus benefiting from JavaScript's exceptional performance. While a mostly static site, we use some clever JavaScript form handling to accommodate inputs on the Contact page.
Products, pages, menus, and the cart are all fetched initially via the WordPress REST API, then stored in the browser to speed up page loading.
